Morning Trails

Morning Trails
It was suppose to be raining totally clouded, when I woke at 4 am I saw nothing but stars and the moon. I thought it would be great to capture a 22% crescent moon on a star trail as well. Through the 150 shots there was some wispy clouds blew past the moon hence the extra effect on the moon. I went to 5 shot of the pre dawn to add to the effect with the stars. This was looking almost Due East.

I had limited space as the dew fell very heavy so I had the camera under the roof for protection but limited the view of the sky I had. Enjoy a little out of the box thinking as I did not 100% know just what I would get apart from the broad moon trail.

Last Plane Home -Western Autralia Is now closed off to every body even Australia.

That moon looks surreal like something from outer space! I bet some people would say the aliens have come;-)

you could easily think it was coming in not going out of shot. the processing in the reverse order you loose the predawn colour. I will try this again if I get the chance with more sky in the shot. Glad you like it.

An interesting effect with the moon trail being interacted with clouds. Good captures, Steve.

I have always shied away from a moon trail but being locked at home there was nothing else to do. I believe well worth doing all over again with more shots. You stay safe where you are in this time of change.
