This will give you an Idea how this method really does work, why its worth thinking outside the square. Remember I can not see these with my eyes just on the camera sensor. A 9 min shot to get the stars to trail around the pole.

DJ you are right this is a 9 min exposure to get the stars to trail and to get the pole to show up. It does work as you can see my older logic was I know its in there some where but this was put together with the names/drew on the photo by the leader of our Astro Face book group and astronomer. only proved I was right in the first place.
