I picked up the tripod with the tacker on it and walked closer to the trees from the middle of the granite rock. Not totally lined up south but very close. You will note that Carina Nebula and the Magellanic clouds are much brighter.

Brilliant work Steve... T'uther morning we saw a 'Conjunction' of 'Venus' the 'Moon' and 'Jupiter'
it looked fabulous... but I failed miserably to get a decent capture...
Keep yours coming...
Cheers from Dave.. UK.

DJ you never stop trying the number of fails I have had in my three trips out in the dark with the tracker but its always so close. your comment help make the fails worth while so I can only say the very same back its not an easy thing to step into Astro photography but it really is once you get to know your camera and you get comfortable in the dark and with all your gear. Just look how far Herb has come and he is still going very strong and trying to learn.

you always have some you can fall back on if you need help and happy to be able to help as well. All the very best from down under.

Another wonderful shot of your night skies of which I can only drool over. We can see the clear difference using the tracker here Steve and long to see more. Well done, Herb

Herb I have very few hair left and have crashed. I have to think on Option "B " as option "A" is never going to ever work no matter what . You will see more but it may take me more time to comes to terms what I can and cant do. Its one of the hardest things I have ever started and I wounder should I have started in hind sight.

Never give In learn and go forward. Steve
