We live in the UK. Santa can only grant so many wishes, SY. ;-)

Oh we love steam engines! What a great photograph for the challenge ... I agree these is always a feeling of magic during the Yuletide Season. :) Love the color of red along with the black engine ... nice contrast and of course lots of steam.

I've worked how to do this, Chris. It's easier than adding a PiP - I found that difficult. ;-)

I don';t know how old this train is, Esther, but it managed to pull lots of carriages full of excited children - and grown-ups. ;-)

Great, every year we to have a big family meet on the 'Santa Special' on the Watercress Line in Hampshire, a great family tradition with Santa hats all round; but the children started to think it was a bit too young for them and it fizzled out. Maybe now they're older they might appreciate it from a grown up's PoV.

No-one should be too old to enjoy the magic of Christmas, Stoker, and after our canal walk yesterday I'd have loved to go on this Santa Special, but our car parking time was running out.

Maybe when you have grandchildren the tradition will all become alive once again, and I know you'll doubly enjoy it all. ;-)
