A lovely collection and beautifully presented.........these have such amazing buds, flowers and seedheads, so are good value (photographically speaking) and nice to have in the garden - they self-seed like mad too.

I especially like the close up in the PiP............the sharpness and detail are excellent.

Damascus nigelles are interesting annual flowers. The ones I have sown this year are currently in bloom with beautiful blue colors.

They are very pretty Pat. Mine have all bloomed today in the sunshine :-)

Thank you very much for your kind comments. The garden is very colourful, as it should be this time of year. I recently bought a new and different type of hydrangea, but it is still quite small. Next year I will take some pic's of it.

"Virgin in the Green", it's called in my language - and the seeds taste like strawberry if you chew them properly. ;-)

Really! I thought they were mildly poisonous!
I will stick to actual strawberries I think ;o)

Poisoness always is a question of the amount - have too many strawberries and you will see, where you get ... ;-)

A lovely selection. They're really nice when the seed heads form too. They are mildly poisonous, but nowhere near as bad as delphiniums.

Thank you. The delphiniums are nearly over now. It's surprising how many flowers are poisonous. The chefs had better be careful. They seem to love putting petals in salads ;-)

They are as attractive as most poisonous flowers (buttercups, cyclamen, lilies of the valley...oleanders).
And now in this beautiful pictures of you...even more... I mean.
But .. I'm no more a little girl and I can admire them safely, I mean :-)

I used to wonder why cows and horses never ate buttercups, which always seemed a plenty in fields...now I know they were very sensible! Thank you for your kind and lovely comments Bea.
