Delightful cottages, Rosa. Dorset has some stunning village locations. i think it may be due to the softer climate compared to that of Shropshire. ;-)

It's not really very touristy, if that's a word ;-) Some lovely little shops and walks and on one of them is the house where Thomas Hardy lived for a few years. I will get a picture of that next time I am there. Thanks for your kind comments.

The houses are beautiful and the little front gardens too. I like the hedgehog sign. They must have some which is good news. When I lived in West Wemyss I remember one walking down the road in broad daylight while my cats sat on the doorstep and gazed at it with eyes like saucers. They'd obviously learned that it was best to let hedgehogs be.

Cats have learned stay well away from hedgehogs Jean :-) I get them most years. We have a covered well in the front garden and they have become stuck there, so I check often but have now put a little ramp in, so that they can climb out!
