I've seen plenty of cars abandoned in various places you'd think would be inaccessible, but I always wonder how it happens. And in the desert where a car just doesn't rot away, I wonder why nobody ever grabbed it. I'm sure the National Park Service keeps an eye on it now, but you'd think about 1960 or so somebody would have seen a good fixer-upper.

These aren't particularly accessible, about 2 mile hike from anything like what we now consider a road. They have to have driven down a wash.
