Enrico Delle Sedie by Numa Blanc
Enrico Delle Sedie (1822-1907); Italian baritone. He made his debut in 1851 as Nabucco in Verdi's eponymous opera. He performed in all the important theatres of Italy and from 1861 till 1874 he was associated with the Théâtre-Italien in Paris. He had a rather small voice and his nickname was "Baritono senza voce" (baritone without a voice). But his style, musicality and his power of dramatic presentation were regarded as outstanding.
