Last of the Piethorne bluebells?

It's always lovely to see a bluebell wood shot Herb........and this is a beauty. I especially like the light and dappled shadows.

I've not yet found any bluebells near me (except the Spanish ones in the garden), but I have one more place to explore yet. I suspect I'll be too late though :-(

Beautiful Herb,.. it's good to snap em' when you can,.. our local woods are fading now but others seem to survive for longer.. I suppose it depends on their position Re. sunlight fall.,. Ooo ! Hark at me,. Dj. the expert Botanist .. (˚◡˚)

Hi David. We discovered this place only a few years ago and now we try to visit it each spring. we knew we were a bit late but fortunately the overall blue clouds of bluebells still prevailed even though they were, every one, on their last legs. You are quite right re the amount of light falling on them as the ones in the more shaded area were stronger here than the others in full sunlight.

Very nice woodland shot Herb. I really enjoy walking in the woods at this time of year and carpets of bluebells and birdsong are always a highlight.
