Globe thistle
Enjoy this wonderful flower with me here. I believe it is the ‘Arctic Glow. Seen on a walkabout near Leyburn in North Yorkshire.
Echinops sphaerocephalus. A fast-growing, clump-forming perennial growing to 2m in height, with spiny grey-green leaves, and thistle-like silvery-grey flower heads on stout grey stems during mid and late summer. rhs.org.uk
