Glasshouse Mountains

Glasshouse Mountains
From the left, Mt Coonowrin, Mt Tibrogargan and Mt Beerwah. I'm uncertain of the one on the right. Just north of Brisbane, on a rather hazy day. I'd suggest viewing on black.

That's a sight for sore eyes. Beautiful landscape, and the light is a treat, especially the splash toward the bottom of the frame. Nice one George.
Mmm . . . I like it !

I love the way the mountains rise straight out of the plain. Nice variations in light too.

Well done, George! Was this from Wild Horse Mountain ? I have been meaning to go there. Have only captured these from the Maleny side.

Thank you Gillian. The short answer is that it was taken along the Maleny-Stanley River Rd, I've now added the position on the map.

o0o the one on the far right intrigues me I must confess ...
the haze and the way the mist/clouds are hanging around,
a little bit of magic and imagination goes a long way ;-)
good weekend George ... oOo

There's a bushfire burning on the near side of the one on the right, Bev. It's probably a 'controlled burn' to reduce flammable material while the fire danger rating is low.

and here was me thinking it was indians around a camp fire

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments and faves on this shot, also for the interesting discussion along the way. There is an Aboriginal legend about these mountains, which you will find here: www.glasshousecountry.com.au/legend.htm .
