Developed from version (2):

- optimised cast shadow
- "TM" within the slogan deleted (because of legal reasons)
- buttons "new" and "sign in" graphically adapted to the three main buttons
- links at the bottom of the site underlined
- picture fixed at 1220 x 675
- Copyright symbol instead of wording
- slightly optimised positon of several elements
- more succinct texts below the main buttons
- tautology eliminated

The "story" behind all will be found following the link about. (Not now, only after implementation.)

Again a great job, Bernhard, and overall good visual appearance, even I prefer pictures like "Frontpage Picture Example (3)". However, the formulations are now a bit too sober and stiff (too "distanced"). For this reason, I'd like to encourage a reconsideration of the wording, bearing in mind Clint's proposals: www.ipernity.com/doc/team/45978350/comment/52726208#comment52726208

Hi * ઇઉ *,
thank you for the link above! Referring to the wording of the previous release it's absolutely correct. That's why it has been revised. The actual, more succinct wording has been puzzled out together with the native speakers of the ima-team (William, Pam).

Concerning the three main buttons let me point out that *explore* and *free trial* are completey different things. The *explore*-button will lead directly to the existing www.ipernity.com/explore.
It’s for external visitors without registration (no comments, no uploads, no galleries, etc.)

The *trial*-button will lead to the existing www.ipernity.com/subscribe. By this means a visitor may create a temporary trial account with access to all functions.

Concerning *ima*: There isn't any intention of rebranding. *ima* is the "rescue club" and the technical operator of the website only. The brand *ipernity* is well known and will persist because of many reasons. But maybe the meaning will change a little bit. In the future ipernity might be more than only a website or a platform. It might be recognised as the whole community.
(Only snatches of ideas. It will be a process and a long way.......)

Hi Bernhard (?),
many thanks for the detailed comments, but they should be addressed to Clint ( www.ipernity.com/doc/team/45978350/comment/52726208#comment52726208 ), since I personally have no problems with the three main buttons and *ima*. ;)

Secondly, my own concerns about the wording don't go in the same direction as Clint's, since I assumed that ima team native English speakers were involved in the wording of this newest draft.

In my view, the revised wording is very good, but now it's just a little too "sober". But that's just my personal, non-binding opinion.

I'm aware that it will be a process and a long way to go, and I wish you and all of us the necessary strength, stamina and patience for it.

Have a great weekend.

The wording of the English version still seems to be a sticking point.

May I suggest some ideas based on the newest proposals?

We dont have to invent anything, everything is already invented, something from old ipernity, from smug, some from blip and thats it...but why shades?
Shades are so old and off, nobody is using it for years, letters with shades are for children birthdays.

Regarding the shadows you might be right.

Marko Novosel club has replied to Boarischa Krautmo club
Yes,dont get me wrong, different is very important and we are,but we also have to be modern.
There is a reason why 100 best companies in the world or best brands dont have shadow on their logos...its not working.
* ઇઉ * club has replied to Marko Novosel club
I think, not because it's modern, but because simply looks fresher, the lettering should be without shadows.
Team club has replied to Marko Novosel club
Hi Marco!
There isn't any intend to add a shadow to the brand label. It will stay untouched, not only of legal reasons - as it is registered as shown. Keeping the trademark unchanged is some kind of commitment for continuity.
Our one and only problem is to keep the slogan in front of the picture well readable. (What Flickr does in this regard, is very poor.)

Just 3 days ago I read an article about webdesign - trends for 2018 which are telling the "flat internet design" will be more and more out and hover-animations, shadows and visually feedback for the users are the trend for 2018. ;-) In german language: t3n.de/news/webdesign-trends-2018-885197

So I would like the desired version, even with that shadow. But maybe switch the color of the shadow so it´s not challenging with a given color of the photo - I suggest in this example a silver "shadow" might be working pretty well with this darkened orange background by the photo. So the shadow shouldn´t always be just black/darkgrey.

Hello Kiez, its very simple, just put in google 100 best companies and logos in the world and look for the shadow.

> Explore: Explore ipernity, with access to all pictures, galleries and groups.

That is not true: Explore [= no login] has access to the pictures that are uploaded as ' Visible by: Everyone'.

'Access' shouldn't be part of the description of 'Explore' - that will also make the difference to the Free trial easier to understand

=> "Explore: Browse ipernity's public pictures, galleries and groups."
John Sheldon club has replied to Manu club
Yes, Manu, I wondered about this. My suggestions were merely following the implication in the ima proposal. Perhaps 'Explore ipernity with access to our pictures, galleries and groups' would be better - there is no need to bore visitors with details about items that are 'publicly' available and those that are not, this distinction would be information overload for someone who is just a visitor.
Bergfex club has replied to Manu club
Maybe the limitation to the last 200 pictures might fall away someday?
Such a barrier isn't contemporary any more. There is room for improvement. Why not open the content for the benefit as well of the members as of the public? Maybe the goal of such a rule might be fullfilled more appropriate by other measures . . .

ୱ Kiezkickerde ( ͡°… club has replied to Team club
This is something which has to do by manual work, and can´t be done by an automatic routine with the use of the same CSS for each photo. So you have to edit the uploaded photos in gimp/photoshop and set the slogan by hand, then it would be an easy task to get it readable as you can chose the colors right comparing to the given photo and his colors. But you can´t get it as functional as it has to be if the photo was sometimes by priority in light and sometimes in dark colors.

Hallo Stefan!
