The mist got even mistier as the day progressed Edna! Inspector Barnaby would get lost in it!! Later, I couldn't even see my neighbour's house over the road!

Before the A303 all traffic went through Mere. I can't imagine it now with all the bends!

Well Eric, you encouraged me to find out more about the building in The Square. Until 1863 there was a market house in the square which fell into ruin, and it was replaced by this Clock Tower. That is something I didn't know, so thank you :-)
