A fantastic example of one of the many Victorian piers Rosa..............looking splendid in the sunshine. Beautifully composed with nice leading lines and a wonderful view to the distant cliffs. Judging by the bunting, it looks like it was quite a windy day.

I haven't been to Swanage for over ten years............I'd add it to my list, but I'm running out of paper :-))

It is one of the best piers and very well cared for Keith. There is a charge of £1.80, but I gladly paid that. It was the bunting that prompted me to take he picture, but thankfully it was only windy on the pier. Just around the cliffs is Studland Bay and Poole Harbour a little further on.

There is still evidence of a much older wooden pier not far from this one Andy. There is continuous work required to keep this one in good shape, hence the small charge to enter. They also run a diving and sailing school which must also bring in much needed cash.

Es una composición bonita. Los banderines delatan brisa ligera y aportan dinamismo, también el hombre con el coche de niños... luego los acantilados al fondo enfilan a mar abierta, desafiando a los temporales. En las Arenas tenemos uno parecido, le llamamos “El embarcadero”, también tiene forma de “L” invertida y aporta recuerdos de niñez y juventud.
