Yes, it was quite exciting Amelia. I have seen Paul Atterbury walking around Shaftesbury before but it was very interesting to see them all at work.

Thank you very much Maurice. Although I enjoyed the unexpected prospect of watching what goes on for the TV programme, I would love to go back to Cromer on a quieter day.

Hi Rosa,

Really atmospheric picture, a reminder of the heyday of the British holiday.

And you got a fence in for Friday!

Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend

Hi Peter,

I did look a very nice coastal town, but everything that day was concentrated around the BBC and the roadshow. Yes another fence ;-)

Best wishes and enjoy your weekend,
Rosa.

Hi Rosa, I can just hear the sounds of this scene, that ocean, those birds ! AND so many people on that pier!!!! This past Sunday We were on the long Pier at Tybee Island, Savannah, Georgia , but no where near this crowded, tho there were masses of folks on the beach itself.
Best wishes, Sarah

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Sarah O' club
Hi Sarah, I love a good pier but on this day the BBC were filming The Antiques Roadshow which has been running for over 40 years, so quite nice to see the crowds and what they had brought. I'm sure Comer is not usually this busy!! Have a good weekend...Rosa.

For a while, I used to do the week's ironing on Sunday evening in front of Antiques Roadshow (or ARS as I used to - affectionately - call it to myself only!). Now I do it in front of the Spanish review of the week's news, in order to try and improve my Spanish!
Love this pier shot!
5 years ago. Edited 5 years ago.
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Andy Rodker club
Ha ha, I shall always think of it as ARS now!!! Hope the Spanish is coming along. I used to pick it up quite well when I visited a lot. Not sure how I would get on now though. Pleased you like the pier :-)
Andy Rodker club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne club
My Spanish is appalling Rosa, given that I have been here over 7 years! My girlfriend despairs! I think I was too old to start to learn a new language. I took to French quite happily when I was younger (although that has largely gone now, sadly). But I can get by, just about.

Not easy as you get older Andy. As long as you get by.

Both are lovely shots Rosa. I love your capture of the angry looking sea and all those gulls in flight. It makes for a powerful image. It sounds like you had a lovely day, - it must have been interesting. Have a lovely Sunday

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Ecobird club
Thank you Carol. I think something spooked the gulls. They were all perched on the wall at first, so a lucky shot really. Hope you're having a good weekend.

Lovely seaside pbotos,I love it when there are some waves! During my recent holidays the sea was extremely calm, I would have liked some wind to blow the fog away...
