Great capture Rosa, definitely looks prepared for a bit of bother; only ever seen one Woodpecker in our garden long ago.

Thank you Roger. The mother of this one is a frequent visitor and sometimes the green woodpecker visits, but they are very difficult to get a decent picture of being so quick moving.

Thank you John. Taken with my longer lens from the kitchen window. That seems to have an effect on the background. Cheers, Rosa.

Nice capture Rosalyn, I also like the Bokeh. Never had the pleasure of seeing or visited by a woodpecker even though there is a wood behind our house.

Thank you Maurice. I feel lucky to have this one's mum and also occasionally a green woodpecker visit.

Yes it's my garden and taken from the kitchen window. If mother woodpecker had spotted me, they would both have gone very quickly!

Ah he'e so cute. We have some of these too but I have only ever seen adults, usually feeding on our bird seeds or fat balls. Two for the price of one here.

Best Wishes, Herb

This was the first time I had ever seen a young woodpecker Herb. He comes back on his own now. They do love the fatballs.
Best wishes, Rosa.
