What a palava ~ That bike looks new pretending to be old ~ the saddle seems well sprung :~)
What fun Rosa, plenty of cameras ~ sufficient to tempt a scooter thief or two I'd imagine :~)
Nice shots and plenty of interest ~ Enjoy your weekend ~ Nick

I wouldn't like to say how old the bike is...I should have asked one of the experts ;-))
Got to chat with a couple of them and it really was a good and happy atmosphere. I'd like to see a scooter try and get past those crowds on the pier! You have a good weekend too Nick....Rosa.

They certainly have all the fancy gear. My guess (based on the fittings) is that the bicycle is fairly new, though I'm no expert.

You could well be right. I wouldn't mind it myself. Just like the old butcher's bikes.

What were they doing, Rosalyn ?

This was on their website Christiane:

The Antiques Roadshow is where specialists in antiques and fine arts appraise items brought in by local residents, whether they are collectors looking to turn trash into treasure or ordinary folks hoping Grandma's old painting might be worth something. Items featured on the programme often have an interesting story attached to them or have some connection to that episode's venue. While some items that are brought in are worth a fortune, others are worthless.

It has been on the BBC for years and years ;-))

Could well be John ;-)) My little dog would have loved rides in that basket...she didn't like walks very much! Thank you for your kind comments.

Hartelijke groeten......Frans.

Thank you Frans, I am pleased you find them interesting. It was a great day out for me, not knowing they were going to be there. I think I remember the one from Maastricht. They have made recordings in Australia also. I thought the bike was a good prop :-)
Best wishes, Rosa.

They used to deliver meat from the local butchers in one like this when I was young :)

Als ich den Weidenkorb sah war mein erster Gedanke: Damit lieferte eine Bäckerei ihre Backwaren.
Apropos Backwaren. Hier ein Weidenkorb mit Backwaren. Fotografiert im Jahr 2000, eine andere Fahrradkonstruktion:
