They sit just like that on the chimneys and aerials across from me. I recognised them as jackdaws right away. I wonder if the solitary ones have still to find a mate. They mate for life and apparently while quite young.

Two lovely photos Rosa..............I love Jackdaws, they're very good looking and quite intelligent. I get them in the garden every day but I think the most we've had is about a dozen! When they land we've started calling it a "Jack Attack".

We don't seem to have so many sparrows coming to feed this year, for some reason. I have seen a few long tailed tits though, which is nice. Take care and enjoy the good weather.
