Christmas Rose

Already in bloom !!!! This is due to the oceanic climate of your region.
At my place in the eastern part of France, there are still no flowers!
That said, very nice photo !!!!!

This variety is supposed to bloom from November to March Nouchet, but I have some in my sheltered front garden and there is no sign of a flower yet. I appreciate your kind comments. Thank you very much.

Beautiful! I saw some today near Saint Michel de Cuxa, Pyrenean mountains.

In my garden they have not flowered yet, so I was pleased to see these just a few miles away :)

Flowers at Christmas, with climate change this will be common place over the coming years. but still a joy to see right now.

Pleased you like them Maurice. When I think about how cold it used to be in the 1970's when I used to hang my children's washing outside this time of year, it is unbelievable.

Lovely flowers, I can't grow them I don't know anyone around here who has them, H oientalis grow alright, I also have a short purple one that is in flower now that is reliable

A harbinger of spring. I used to have Helleborus niger in our garden, but it didn't prove to be reliably hardy, whereas the Lenten rose spreads prolifically by seed and I have to weed it out of the borders.

Mine has not flowered this year Amelia. It has so much to do with the soil in many cases. I have just dug up a hydrangea that has been there for 17 years but I have never been happy with it...so I gave it a good chance and now it is gone! I have another variety of hydrangea that flourishes each year.
