The Pantheon ~ Stourhead

A lovely old building. I like the niches for the statues and the ornate capitals of the pillars. Reminds me of learning about Doric, Ionic and Corinthian.

That dog looks like it's peeing on the electrics............I'm guessing it didn't go up in smoke and flames just after you took the shot :-))

Ha ha, no it didn't go up in smoke! I hadn't actually noticed it until Frans mentioned the dog!! It would have made a good, but unfortunate shot ;-)

The passing years and weather have produced wonderful patterns on the stone work, I'm not sure if patina is used for stone
