Resting my eyes ...

Oldest of 4 House Finches ..
Resting between feedings from Dad ..
All have a problem fitting in the nest ..
So, leaving shouldn't be far away ..
He is sitting atop a pottery-type squirrel ..
Not far from the nest ..

One group of House Finches has already left their nest ..
Saw them out back waiting for Dad to feed them ..
He, patiently, kept showing them how ..
But they just sat with mouths wide open ..
