I just buzz right back at them -

Peggy C club has replied to William Sutherland clubAnd a huge Thank You for your work with IMA and Ipernity !
I smiled at your comment about buzzing the bee; very brave! My tip when dealing with bees that do sting: I find if I step back a few paces if a bee "challenges" you through buzzing or flying at you it reassures them that you mean no harm and they usually go about their business. I then wait two or three minutes and return to photograph some more. However, one should always use caution with honey bees especially if there are many of them as they are more aggressive than other bee species.
Peggy C club has replied to ImogenThe male Carpenters are the only ones I buzz at .. leave the female Carpenters alone !
