.. bushels of memories

- a friend who brought laughter and humor to so many situations
- has passed
- but the memories are close to my heart
- forget?
- impossible
- met him when he was a teenager
- worked to save enough money for college
- then he went
- applied to Medical Schools
- 'the establishment' said he would be '' too old when he graduated ''
- bah humbug to them !
- found one not so close-minded

- he completed med school
- was one of the best Docs around here
- you know the kind .. they listen to you

- years later, the medical office had to close due to health
- he thought '' a Doctor getting sick? That shouldn't be! ''

- so, he went back to college
- got his law degree
- he was not a person to be still, even as his body failed him

- before we moved back to NC, we gave him a key to the house
- said he would check on it and make sure everything was fine

- a few days later he called, " I've rented your house until you get here. Nice couple with 15 kids; promised they would take good care of things. "
- '' oh, and the Food Truck fits just right in the driveway
- neighbors don't seem to mind, either ''

- of course with his humor, he let that sink in for a bit
- then admitted '' no, I didn't, but would you like me to? ''

He is already missed, but we all have our special memories of Dr. B .. one of a kind.

I´m also a doctor, and of course doctors can be sick and dye, we are exposed to a lot of diseases and troubles. I´m also the kind of doctor who listen the patient , always try to have a smile in face , sorry for your friend maybe a kind of great man and doctor
