the fruit cake controversy! Never would touch this ick! My 60 year old neighbour came to my house once, like 20 years ago... try this she says, I said 'no thanks' what can I say I hate that shit! no I am not like that.. so I try a teeny-weeny-itsy-bitsy peice.. hot damn, it's good..
she soaks her fruit in expensive brandy for days on end! After it's made she pokes holes in the cake and resoakes it! All this is done months in advance!
wow it's the best ever!

The colour of mine varies depending wheather I can get black treacle or not. I couldnt this year so it ended up lighter.
