Auch ohne Bearbeitung sicherlich ein sehr starkes Bild, was aufrütteln sollte.
Der junge Mann sieht nicht so aus, als ob er irgendeinen Luxus besäße, um seine Situation zu verbessern.

ein großartiges Bild. Durch die Beabeitung wird es richtig spannend und man überlegt sich sofort Geschichten.

Ohne die Wochenaufgabe von TSC hätte ich gar nicht mehr an dieses Foto gedacht.
Erst beim "Aufhübschen" ist mir selbst das Potential aufgefallen - dieser Blick, die Körperhaltung, die abgetragenen Klamotten ... ich weiß nichts über diesen jungen Mann, aber ich stelle mir so Einiges vor ....

Ausdrucksvolles Bild und Portrait, die Bearbeitung finde ich sehr dazu passend - es verstärkt den Bildeindruck.

Kalt ! Versteinert ! Einsam ! Gut in Szene gesetzt !

Genau SO wollte ich es haben, Ulrich.
Hab die Zahlen schon wieder vergessen, aber allein in Berlin sollen sich mehrere Zehntausend Leute aufhalten, ohne Papiere, ohne Krankenversicherung, ohne Hoffnung .... landen letztlich auf dem Straßenstrich oder/und in der Drogen-Szene am Görli.

.... und die hiesige Ausländerbehörde ist ein Alptraum ..... kafkaesk.

A street shot with a real message, which at the same time as having a gritty realism about it also manages to look beautiful too ... thanks in no small part to the composition of the shot and how you've processed it.

Please tell us how you achieved that effect because it really is exceptional? :)

s/w-Umwandling mit Details Enhancer,

dann weiter mit

2 PSE:
- Hintergrundebene dupliziert, Hochpass-Filter drübergelegt und ineinanderkopiert,
alles mit schwarzer Ebenenmaske abgedeckt - nur die Passagen, die plastisch hervortreten
sollten anschließend mit weißem Pinsel wieder sichtbar gemacht (weicher Pinsel, 30 %)
- abschließend weitere Ebene (Einstellungsebene "Farbfüllung") mit Blau gefüllt , auch hier
mit schwarzer Maske vollständig abgedeckt; nur bei den Jeans und der Jacke mit weichem
Pinsel und weißer Vordergrundfarbe die Farbe vorsichtig wieder sichtbar gemacht.

Alles klar ???

Incredible processing.

This is amazing Heidiho... I love it.
Even though it called for 'minimal processing' this week you managed to totally transform this into a work of art with what does not look minimal. That's a good thing I hope in translation nothing goes askew here.

and why is the shot titled illegal? that intrigues me.

We have a lot of refugees here in town. Without papers. The law don't accept them for asylum, but they don't know where to go to. So they stay - outlaws, no chance for nothing ....

Oh ... "minimal processing" .... ? I didn't notice this.
May be the problem is with me. - All the discussions and smalltalk seems like "american english" for me. It's a bit difficult to understand exactly.

My english is not up to date - I learned in school .... so, so many years ago.
So I have to beg your pardon for misunderstanding.

If needed, I can change the photo ... I have some others too.

no Heidiho, this picture is fine, for the processing it said you could minimum process, BUT you have to have your 'person' recognizable and you did achieve that. do not take this picture out!

I do also understand though that sometimes the translation is not the best. You do fine with it.

Nice style. I like the way this is processed.

Ich finde die Bearbeitung erstklassig. Jetzt im Februar denke ich sofort an Kälte und erfrieren, wenn ich diese Arbeit betrachte. Als Farbkontrast gibt's mal dafür den gelben Stern.

Trauriges Thema, perfektes Foto und Bearbeitung dazu, Heidi - hab's in TSC gefunden und gleich "gesterndelt"! ;-D

.... das finde ich so angenehm hier bei IP .....
diese "Spiele-Gruppen" bringen einen dazu, alte Archive zu durchforsten und das ein oder andere Brauchbare ans Tageslicht zu befördern.

Und noch ein Argument, das für IP und seine tollen Tools spricht:

während hier zu diesem Foto innerhalb weniger Stunden ein unglaubliches Feedback über mich hereingebrochen ist ... zeitgleich bei Pano:

still ruht der See .... außer 2 ganz treuen Seelen, die immer bei mir vorbeischauen, hat`s wieder keiner gemerkt ....

die Stagnation ist deutlich .... und die meisten guten Bekannten sind mittlerweile eh hier (oder bei 500px ...)

Started a career as musician just when he became 50 .....
