We went down to Sydney, for the weekend, to the cricket ODI match Australia v England at the SCG.
The day afterwards we had lunch with a friend in Mosman, and strolled past this historic cricket ground.
CREMORNE-BORN and Mosman-raised cricket legend Allan Border has reflected on a childhood "full of good memories" where sport was life.
"I had a pretty idyllic childhood growing up in Mosman," he said.
"I lived across the road from Mosman Oval (now Allan Border Oval), so it was cricket in the summer and baseball in the winter."
The ICC Cricket Hall of Fame member, who defined toughness during a career forged against the fearsome West Indies pace bowlers, said it all began at Mosman Cricket Club...
