An old friend of mine lived in Queensland for a few years, and he absolutely loved being there.

We lived in Queensland for 27 years, and loved it. It has a tropical climate, so pretty humid in summer. Our last house was on acreage, and we found the humidity too much for us, looking after the garden, etc. We decided to try a cooler climate, so we moved to New South Wales early 2020, really bad timing, at the start of the pandemic. State borders were closed, etc. and many restrictions, so this was our first opportunity for a return visit to Queensland. Really great to catch up with family and friends.

Lovely. I love maps. Used to love old ordnance survey maps with symbols

Thanks Jan. On the trip we used Lady Google for the intermediate map reading, but I really love to see places on real maps.

Hope you drive back home safely after enjoying visiting friends and family in the place you have lived so many years.
GPS is good but road maps are so enjoyable…

It is a unique part of Australia, and extremely popular with Australian and International tourists.
It seemed to us that the Noosa area seems twice as busy as when we lived in the area.
The Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, generally, are crazily busy.
