Thanks, Roger, and a good weekend to you, I had some interpretations of the figures, too, but they're a bit gruesome.

Oh, I do have a non-gruesome one: pilgrims struggling through the winter wind.

An interesting choice, aNNa, It overlaps with Roger's. My own interpretation is more benign but then I cab see that could easily be skulking about.

Thanks, Jaap. and a peaceful weekend to you. This was taken a week after the big ice storm in 2014,so the burlap saved their branches from the ice storm. Many trees came down but they were generally bigger than the tree in this picture.

What a super shot John. The fence is attractive and the 'figures' could give you a scare in the dark!!!!

I really liked the shrouded figures in this one John............it's fascinating that even though I know what they really are, I still see them as figures!

In the dark, I can imagine they'd be quite scary looking!

Those swathed trees always suggest to me to anthropomorphize them. These are no different. The second and third are talking to each other, and perhaps the fourth and fifth are, also. The right-most figure is minding his or her own business, and determinedly moving on. Okay, I should have written fiction for my career, but too late for that, though I am writing a non-fiction book. Two of the3m, in fact.

There's a coincidence, Bob -- I'm reading two non-fiction books. Folks! I'm here all week. Seriously, can you discuss what the books are about? No need to if you don't feel like it. Just askin. I can wait,

Yes, I think we are incapable of not interpreting the look of these things. To me they're like medieval pilgrims fighting their way through a winter headwind,

John, I have no idea what you're reading, of course. Whether or not I could discuss them intelligently, who knows? I probably haven't read them, though.

I like the treelike design of the fence but the shrouded greenery takes pride of place! (my 1st thought was women in burqas...)

At first sight, the wrapped bushes look like suspicious silhouettes. Therefore, the nice fence becomes a convenient barrier. Belated HFF, John!

I used to get a lot of compliments about the articles on my website about statistics, so I thought I would try to write the first bestseller about statistics, The premise would be that in this Age of Information few of us know what information is. I quickly found out I wasn't smart enough to do that so abandoned my literary aspirations.
