Happy feet

There are television programmes about disturbed people who horde stuff to the point they can scarcely ascend their stairs or open doors into their rooms. But to open a shop for this sort of thing! It's either inspired and enterprising or hopeless and doomed to failure. I'd bet on the latter. This could become a major photographic resource and project. But whatever you do, don't buy any of it and take it home (see first sentence, above).

This place has been going for years, TLC, so I guess it's inspiring and enterprising. A good source for crockery, apparently, and for items that can be made decorative.

Well, bless my soul. It's a mystery how they do it, but as the saying goes, where there's muck there's brass. Good news on the jazz CDs though.

Not as much of nightmare, Sarah, as a used bookstore I was in in St. Catharines, ON. I seriously felt that I should have a hard hat on there.

Suppose you wanted a closer look at something there. Would they get it out for you ? I quite fancy the photograph top left. Looks like Fred Astaire's feet.

You're on your own there, Jean. On Yelp someone observed that they liked the owner's policy of leaving you alone. A few people recommended taking gloves, because you're going to have to move things to get into the middle of piles. One recommended a tetanus shot, too.

I would want a full Hazmat suit and breathing apparatus to venture inside.

Probably stolen by a roving band of Canadian slipper thieves, Maggs. You've got to watch them.

Seriously, I'm amazed at some of the things you can find. You may recall the snapshot I found of one of (ice) hockey's biggest stars.

I love this type of "detail" shot John............I find them really fascinating and I can spend hours rooting round in shops like that. You really never know what you're going to find - and that's the fun part..!!

You'd love this place, then, Keith. There's also a more demure shop with a similar selection a few doors away.

It would be interesting to be present when the shop owners carry out their annual stocktaking for accounting purposes!
