Thanks, Bob. The poster actually works well unless you insist on standing where I did.

Now that you mention it, Jean, I realize that's how many employers think of workers. Hey, kids! If you want a good job, start being anonymous now!

This seems to be a political statement. Well chosen perspective, John.

Maybe a semanyic point, Ruebenkraut -- just what is "Empowering Canadian youth for the jobs of tomorrow" supposed to mean? The RBC website suggests that the program consists mainly of providing work experience (including internships) and job training, To my mind "Providing work experience and job yraining" would be a more powerful and more attractive statement.

Don't worry, George. Canadians only. Although we like Australians and would probably waive the rules for you -- and the age qualification.

"You're less than just a pretty face with RBC!" great new ad campaign...

People say the University of Toronto's slogan should "Where you're less than just a number," dC. A proud Toronto tradition. As I mentioned above, the poster works well if you don't stand where I insisted on standing.

What kind of (rude word) comes up with lines like that anyway?
John FitzGerald club has replied to Andrew Trundlewagon club
Good question, Andrew. A number of possible explanations for this line occur to me -- making the program seem more impressive than it is, obfuscation, pleasing the big shots at the bank, unfamiliarity with style manuals, etc. I suspect that the desire to sound like a North Korean propaganda poster was not part of the motivation, but it sure ended up sounding like one.
