SF Ingleside former El Rey theater (#0974)

SF Ingleside former El Rey theater (#0974)
Historic art deco El Rey theater building in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco. Per the article linked below, the theater was built in 1931 and showed movies until the mid-1970’s. From 1977 until 2015 the building was owned and used by a church; the church lost it in bankruptcy. Apparently there is now a battle as to whether to preserve the building or demolish it and build condos. The article includes a picture of the building from some time in the 30’s or 40’s when it was the El Rey theater.

If I was able I would keep it and make it a theatre and public performance space.
