Klamath River water politics (#1507)

Klamath River water politics (#1507)
"Save the Dams" A sign for the protest movement to save dams that are scheduled to be removed from the Klamath River in N. Calif and S. Oregon. The website apparently no longer exists, but I did find articles indicating that it was created in 2011. An Internet search on "Klamath Dam Removal" will indicate that the efforts to remove the dams remains a contentious issue.

Ha! I see yellow signs around here, usually on farm fences, that say something like Stop the Dam Scam. Contentious, yes, but I am a little surprised that all parties seem to talk in a generally civil manner. But, this will probably change as people become more fired up by the nasty political atmosphere in the country. It's already an angry place at its baseline and they don't need the encouragement! (Ugh! I can't wait until this is all over. Worst. Election. Ever.)

I agree about the mood of the country. This is the first time I've been out exploring in rural areas and felt a little anxious that my politics would show through at the wrong time.
