Paarungsbereit - Ready to mate
Auf seiner hohen Warte auf einem Blatt der Sumpfschwertlilie hält eine männliche Blutrote Heidelibelle (Sympetrum sanguineum) Ausschau nach Beute, vielleicht auch nach einer Partnerin. Jedenfalls ist die rote Farbe im Abendlicht wunderschön anzuschauen und die zarte Flügeladerung ist beeindruckend.
Die Blutrote Heidelibelle ist eine anspruchslose Großlibelle, die praktisch alle Gewässer besiedelt.
