searching -

fingers of cold -

weathered bricks shrink to avoid -

yet, they were placed -
many years ago -
by steady hands -

it was a useful place -
but, now -
only part is used -

sought -
enveloped -
by shadows of black -
dark -
cold -
fingers -
sending chills throughout -
