of Mr House Finch ..
a colorful fellow ..
both in song and feathers ..
today was the 'song of don't go close to the nest ' ..
got TOLD off ..
am supposed to know he was flying in with supper ~
at least now I know his concert song ..
this time, the weather people hit it just right -
said we would have flurries -
we did -
would only last a short time -
yes, that happened too -
would only stick to branches or grass -
now, at 11:00am EST -
the Sun is Out !
plants for the Garden of Surprises -
left -- Anemone 'Honorine Jobert' .. has beautiful white flowers/yellow centers -
top R -- Milkweed (A.tuberosa) .. orange for Monarchs and other butterflies -
R bottom -- Aster 'Raydon's Favroite' .. mounds of lavende…
Crepe Myrtles of lavender ..
Planter found nearby ..
With cascading beauties ..
Topped with dainty pink / purple / fuschia ..
Just up the walkway, a Memory Bench ..
A Churchyard which has a water fountain ..
Calming spot in the midst of people ..
my camera is always with me -
not my yard flowers -
but, I do visit that spot often -
just to see what has been planted -
a lovely area outside a small church -
down the road-a-piece [ as they say here ] -
bracts [ usually four ] hold the Dogwood-flowers-to-be -
now, they look like peas in a cup -
gradually they open -
revealing white, pink or red bracts -
very small yellow flowers will be in the center -
