Yes, a remarkable scoured slab. I wonder what caused the gashes?
I think it had to have been under a small glacier at the height of an Ice Age! (Yes, these mountains were under outlying ice caps occasionaly).

Many different types of granite, with different mixesof felspar, mica, quartz, etc. There is some similarity here to the granite of a few spectacular Cornish sea cliffs.
