Wow, impressive! One has the impression a little kick would be enough to bring it to fall down. But I guess this already has been tried ;-)

Hi Andy, that's impressing! Though it probably stays like this for centuries, I wouldn't dare to stay below!

Andy, so sorry and a pity for your comment, I've deleted the photo you've been commenting (see below) by mistake! I have uploaded it again.

I wouldn't stand underneath this rock for all the tea in China, Andy. Does it actually rock?

I think it's been like this for a few hundred years, in high winds, etc! It's is obviously a relic from granite quarrying - you can see the toolmarks on the edge. Thank you, Pom'.

Here it's if I'm waiting and waiting :) Impressive view and very good shot! This morning I removed (I thought) my very rainy overstroming waterpipe picture from a group but it seemed later, it was 'deleted' with other words (fill in). Today of course 'the day after'.
Have a nice evening! Peter

I'm afraid to say that it was shaped by man, a relic of an old granite industry - making building blocks as well as things like querns for grinding grain, etc.
But it is still impressive!
Many thanks, Doug.

Stand by for the next big earthquake! (Not completely facetious--there's a field of study using so-called "precarious rocks" to infer historical seismicity!)

Not here, Sig. This, I am afraid to say, is effectively man made - the remnants of very ancient granite quarrying!
Sorry to disappoint!

Ah. Well, it's still likely to come tumbling down at some point! ;)

True! Maybe the next Ice Age?? (We don't get much seismic activity in Central Spain, fortunately!)

Thank you Rabbit! I think this has been fashioned by man. Granite was much sought after for building the streets of Madrid. The scalloped edging is the give-away!
