Your condolences were the first I heard of this attack, Diane. On the Spanish morning news, it's not very clear exactly what happened - 3 separate incidents? Anyway a terrible atrocity again.
It gets increasingly more important not to let fear get in the way of normal life. AND IT WON'T!

I was exploring the Thames bridges just a few months ago and it is easy to see how this happens -- this show roughly the area targeted (London The Shard (#0284) ). Unfortunately it seems that terrorists have found a particularly weak spot of trucks/crowds in contemporary culture. We can't let these actions make us be less public, but we need to somehow figure out a way to decrease vulnerability. Though, of course, we also need to find a way to decrease the alienation that's associated with this.

So sad Diane. 7 dead now! Over 49 in hospital, some seriously injured.
London is a great multi cultural city and from hearing what the people who live there say, it will always be so. Thank you for your kind message.
