A Winter's tale

a very atmospheric shot. we are in the fog today!

Good to see you here Colin. We too are in the fog today but unlike yesterday there is no sign of the sun and most of the hoarfrost has gone too. A very excellent photographic day was had yesterday by me around here, providing more shots to share on Ipernity. - I now see that you captured the snow and hoarfrost too. Great stuff.

Brrrrr............I can feel the cold just looking at this Herb. This is a wonderful winter landscape.

I love the house and barn shrouded in cloud and mist..........it's amazing how much a fall of snow changes the landscape. I really like the contrasting foreground as well...........sharp and detailed.

A long way from your seaside shots Keith. Now and then there is some advantage for me living in the 'grim north' and yesterday's walk was one of them. Hundreds of photos with many great shots of which you will see more here soon.
As you say here, it can get pretty cold in weather like this and I would not have liked being a horse here. Quite a change from the normal green views I have from near here too. Glad you liked it.

I think you will have more snow than this Ulrich but being able to walk over this sort of countryside is a reward for us living here in Northern England. Very happy that you enjoyed this.

We have to do these things when the conditions are right. Fortunately as being a retiree I can do as I please for these shots on most days. I know the day will come when i can no longer run out in these conditions with my camera. Thanks for the visit and comment. ~ Herb
