Chew reservoir in Winter fence.
Over here we can get some snow with blue skies now and again. Here is such a scene taken on one of my higher reservoir walks a year or so back, called Chew Reservoir near my favourite Dovestones reservoir in Greenfield. 2018 was a bleak time for this high area –it being devastated by moorland fires in the drought. That will take many years to recover but snow like this hides most things. Enjoy

It was indeed very, very cold in the wind John. The trek up here, which started on grass, was very slippy on the solid iced track too. I think the photos where a great payback though. Glad you liked it.

Thanks Peter, it was pretty cold. This reservoir, I have never seen frozen over -like the ones below too (Dove Stones etc). Too much wind and movement I guess as there was plenty of ice about on the way up here. Very happy you liked this.

That's OK Keith as i know what you mean about playing catch up. I have many trips in the pipeline this year too. One coming up soon. As you say, snow is incredibly hard to get right and is with some satisfaction that you like this so. In the old days, snow was always a muddy colour. One up for today's technology I guess. Not to worry about being late or anything as I always appreciate your comments no matter when.
