Half way to the Fighting dragons

Half way to the Fighting dragons
This is 12 shots as the milky way as it rises in our Southern Skies as per the plan by nina, This Is Not Seen North Of The Equator. This is half way to where I want to get there is another panorama of 12 shots to go. Each Panel is a night worth of shots then added to PtGui to get the panorama.

ZWOASI071MC -10 43 shots per night
600 sec rotated 80 degrees.
Nikon 105 mm f2.8 G Lens
Skywatcher NEQ 6 Pro Hypertuned
Guided PHD2, SGP
Pixinsight, Ps Lr.

Below are some of the targets that I have shot from this area.

Its not that hard once you get to understand some of the complexities of this type of photography, I look forward to the next 12 as that area is all new to me as well. It is my hope I can join all three up and make one giant panorama of our Milky Way.

Thank you Ko I am trying to make the most of our clear summer nights to get the shots it just shows you how small some of these targets are. I will switch to an 8" reflector rather than the ED80 refractor as long as I can get the parts I need to set it up so will be a change coming.

Peter it keeps the mind active and alive you never just know what you are going to get , you always hope it works out but nature has a way of throwing rouge clouds. The good new is I do not have to leave home its all done in the safety of home.

A band of Brothers in these captures Steve. As I know, you do put a great deal of effort in taking these and then editing them to get them to look right for us. I have got to say that I love them all. God luck in completing your giant task.

Cheers. Herb

Thanks Herb I intend to get as much of it as I can I know I am in a holding pattern as I have to wait for the targets to rise so it is going to take a bit of time.
