I saw Inception this past week; it's a very good movie. I must admit that I did fall victim to hype however, because it wasn't the mind blowing experience I was preparing myself for. Be Kind Rewind stars Jack Black and Mos Def. I'm not a big fan of Jack Black. I actually preferred Mos Def. On a scale from "Never Again" to "I'm buying the DVD", this movie rates a "I'll live without seeing it twice."

Here's what I recently noticed: facebook, myspace, twitter, flickr, and yes even ipernity, all do not capitalize their names in their logos.

I saw a stand of 5 Hour Energy drinks. It also had 5 Hour Energy Extra strength in the same stand. Now, I'm not a chemist or anything, and this is why I'm asking, but why is the Extra Strength version still only 5 hours?

My wife wanted to see this movie Inkheart, so I sat down and watched it with her. It was better than I expected. I guess it could be considered a family-fantasy movie with some action and adventure thrown in, and some darker themes placed throughout.

I went to the UK recently and had a chance to watch some movies. Here are some quick synposes of what I watched. I will say that I must not be smart enough to appreciate some of the movies that were deemed Oscar worthy, as I weren't particularly impressed by them.

So we watched the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was better than 7 Pounds , but still not as good as I was hoping it to be. It was also a little depressing. The acting was good, and if you can take for granted that someone was born aging backwards, the way the events unfolded felt pretty realistic. A Canadian figure skating couple was on the news tonight. Don't take this as me saying that it doesn't take talent; all I'm saying is that to my untrained eye, every clip of every figure skating routine I've ever seen looks the same to me. Despite the costume differences, they all look like they're doing the same thing.

2016 - Too far away or better left alone?

I don't like Steam. Not based on my limited experience. Aside from the gamble you're taking with some indie developers, and in spite this being all about digital whereas I like my hard copy, there's something I can't get by.

Fun enough to watch once, but not a lot to bring me back for repeated viewings.
