  • Movie Moment - No Country for Old Men

I gotta say, I wasn't a fan. It's been a long time since I watched a movie, and was really blown away. I think the last time a movie really impressed me was the Bourne Ultimatum last year. Maybe I'm picky. Anyway, the movie was not shy of good actors with great performances. Javier Bardem (the main bad guy) was an awesome character. If anything makes the movie worth watching, it's this guy. The flaw of the movie was it's long scenes of very little substance. There was a lot of watching bar…

  • I think you need a dictionary application on that thing.

I saw an list online entitled "101 Most Essential iPhone Apps of 2008". First of all the fact that there's 101 suggests to me that someone doesn't know the definition of essential. Upon seeing that one of the apps is a picture of a cowbell that makes a sound when you tap it appears to confirm my suspicions.

I've been given the opportunity to test out a new 3.5G Wireless device running on the Linux based Android O/S. That's all I can really say about it at the moment.

  • Rethink your wording.

So, I was reading through some cards of this kids game. The idea is that there's a set of clues to something and you have to guess what it is based on those clues. There was one line in particular that caught my eye: "Stick your finger in my hole." Let's just pause for a moment and take that in. Wait... maybe that's not that term I want to use. (The answer is "donut" by the way.)

  • The Gingerbread Man has a humourously horrible moral

Not unlike Jack & the Beanstalk , I was reading The Gingerbread Man to my kids recently. We have about 3 different versions of the story in the house. Here's a breakdown of what usually happens. A gingerbread man is made, but then takes off and teases anyone that tries to catch him. The baker who spent the time making the gingerbread man is the first to be outrun by the little food item no matter how hard he or she (depending on which version your reading) runs. Eventually the gingerbread man…

  • English sucks.

Here is just another of infititely available examples of why the English language is so complicated. I think the following setence makes perfect sense, and that is really weird: I had a Doctor's appointment today for which I had to fast but was so fast asleep that I woke up late, making me leave the house so fast that I forgot to make the door fast.

  • Google and YouTube.... what are you guys doing?

I'm a little put off by the recent changes happening with YT copyright rules, in particular to what it means to posting videos that include game-play footage. I'm looking into getting a Vimeo account now, and even coming back to iPernity with a Club membership to boot. [EDIT] CRAP! Vimeo isn't a viable option either.

  • Ant-Man + Marvel Movie Ranking

We saw Ant-Man on the weekend, and I thought it was very good! That got me thinking as to how I would rank the recent run of Marvel movies, and this is what I came up with.
