Daffodils

This beautiful photo reminds me of Wordsworth's poem we had to learn in high school !!!!!!
(I cursed daffodils for a long time because I didn't like learning poems)******

Lovely to see, Rosa. I don't recall seeing them here (other than wild dwarf varieties in the mountains) so a vicarious pleasure for me! Many thanks!

I have a lot of the dwarf variety Andy and they flower much later, usually the same time as the tulips. Hope you have a good new week.

They are lovely. They were not a favourite of mine but I have come to appreciate them more in my old age. I'll have to wait a while for them to flower here.

Looking good, it sounds familiar trying to get a shot when the wind drops for a second, I have got a few tete-a-tete showing colour but they are only a couple of inches high

These more bog-standard daffs are always early. A lot more varieties still to flower, hopefully in time for Easter. Hope you have a good new week.

A beautiful image. Whenever I see these, I find myself going back (more than a few years) to high school days, when we were expected to study Wordsworth's "Daffodils" - "I wandered lonely as a cloud, etc...". They aren't seen here where I grew up, so let's just say it failed to resonate. :-)

I can appreciate why it failed to resonate George :-) I expect school studies have changed somewhat nowadays. It's one of those poems that people worldwide seem to know. I must admit, I didn't appreciate the poem when I was at school, but I do now. Thank you for your kind comments. I hope you have a good new week.

Fantastic colours too.

Quite a few have come up on the riverbank where I walk (most days). When we get a sunny day I'll take some photos. Hopefully before St Davids day.

Spring is coming soon Rosa. Love your daffodils...

Two weekends ago we had snow and ice and very much cold with minus 10 degrees Celcius below zero! But the next weekend (three days ago) we had plus 15 degrees Celcius and took out our thick cloths and went for a walk to the beach ;)
