Large or also St. Vitus church
The Great or Sint-Vitus kerk is a late-Gothic cross basilica in the fortress of Naarden, which is dedicated to Saint Vitus.
The oldest part of the church is the tower, built between 1380 and 1440. The present-day Cross Basilica with its surrounding and strikingly low transepts was the result of an extension between 1455 and 1518, in which the church was destroyed by fire twice (1468 and 1481).
