Kuala Lumpur, National monument Park

Kuala Lumpur, National monument Park
looking towards the city centre, this also shows the Tugu Megara national monument.

The National Monument is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960

It was big tour but only for 21 days visiting these places in Asia and then a trip to two places in South Africa. (Cape Town and Port Elizabeth). Glad you enjoyed it with me here.

Got to admit that Kuala Lumpur was pretty stunning, especially with the twin Petronas Towers. What was quite wonderful too, was that just a few hundred yards from here was a delightful cricket pitch and pavilion with score boards etc.
Cheers Herb
ps new Petronis PiP added here.

Just had a look at the PiP...............most impressive.

I visited KL in the early 70's - it's changed beyond recognition..!!

Thanks for that Keith. KL was most impressive and very, very busy. The World is certainly a smaller place nowadays.

Good to see you again Rosa. I don't know quite why that water looked so blue but the blue tiles might have had something to do with it :) It was a steamy-humid day as the photo might convey too. A great spot.
