CET (Central European Time) is 10 hours before Canberra, 7 hours before Perth, as far as I could see. I don't know, how group admins handle this.

HFF, George. I do think they are getting a bit silly with this timing fixation ... They should set it for a more inclusive time, and if it means some people will post a bit sooner or a bit later ... well, I fail to see what the big deal would be about that. It seems to me a lot worse that faithful group members can't post in their time line. ok, I'll shut up now, before somebody says "You wanna take over admin duties? ..." I do think about you and Pauline a lot. Wish you a nice weekend.

Annalia, it should be possible to discuss and consult with each other in that group without fearing an (unwanted) appointment as admin or moderator. And if... Anytime, you can disagree with a nomination. So take heart. ;)

Many thanks for your kind comment, Annalia. After some"offline" discussion I'm aware of the cause of this glitch - it was unintentional and nothing serious, just that I happened to be on the wrong side of the timezone and probably was the only member affected. :-)

Good to hear it got sorted out, George. I still think if they were just a tad less finicky about posting times, perhaps it could be avoided that a long standing faithful member should find himself on "the wrong side of his time zone" for heaven's sake. This rule is supposed to be about giving people equal access (or at least that's the only plausible reason I can see), but if the mechanism is set up so that you do not have access when you should, it defeats the purpose, even if just one person is affected.

Hi IMA Team. Thanks for taking the time to respond here. There are two issues though. The first is that the HFF Group "About" heading says "2. Post late Thursday night, (not before 23.30 h your Time Zone) or Friday (Your time zone). " which was the main part of my problem - it should be possible to post in my local time. If it is to be some other set time zone, then as ipernity attempts to be an international site with global membership, I would suggest it should run on international standard time, which is UTC - not just some regional time zone. Well, I guess we're looking at just a single group here, so I'd suggest it's for the group admins to consider. :-)
