National Park walkway

The walkway to the lookout at the Jerrawangala National Park seems a good subject for HFF. I have also added a (clickable) PiP with the information sign visible at the far end of the walkway - this gives a lot of information about the area in which the National Park is situated.

A fitting fence to keep you safe here but I think it a pity that they could not make it in a more suitable fashion to fit better into the landscape. ie made from wood! But that is how things are.. Well done.

Many thanks, Herb. There are some good reasons for making it this way: the first is termites, which chew wood, the second is because this is fireproof. The big bushfires ran right through this area, though it looked as though they were fairly low intensity when they came though here.

This must be such a beautiful place, George. Thank you for the clickable pip with the info (yes, it is readable). Sounds like a visit in early spring with all the flowers blooming would make for some spectacular landscape photography and possibly, if the opportunity arises, some wildlife shots too.

Many thanks, Annalia. Yes, as you may have seen from my recent postings, there are already native flowers blooming, though unlike the fields of flowers seen in Europe they are usually isolated bushes. This certainly warrants revisiting at some time. :-)

An excellent capture of this walkway to the viewpoint George. I like that it looks wide and even enough to allow access to all. A great PiP and yes, viewed large I can make out all but the small letters - it reminds me of an eye test and I think I failed miserably!! HFF and have a good weekend

Thank you, Peter. As an old bushwalker I understand what you're saying. The important thing here is that this is accessible to just about all, regardless of fitness, to appreciate the area, while there are vast areas of bushland in the National Park where no development of any kind would be visible.
