A real shame about the trees and unless the laws have changed Down Under it is illegal to shout at flying foxes or to cause them harm.

They are indeed listed as "Threatened", Neil. The good news in the past few days is that the local Council has been given permission to try to disperse the colony (which typically involves lots of loud noise and smoke).

The good news in the past few days is that the local Council has been given permission to try to disperse or move this colony (which typically involves lots of loud noise and smoke).
