Rock Ripples

Rock Ripples
On the walkway to the Quarry Point beach, an informative sign advises that these rippled and stratified rocks were laid down under a shallow sea, about 450 million years ago. They have been exposed by erosion and past quarrying.

*Edit* I now have added a note with a close-up shot of the rock strata.

Explored.

Thanks, they do indeed find some quite significant fossils at places on the coast of Victoria, though I'm unsure if any have been found in this area.
